Villa Aquilo is situated in an olive grove above the pristine beach of Megali Ammos on the north-western coast of Alonnisos, accessed via a forest road (graded but unsurfaced) and located about 6km from the main port of Patitiri. The journey from the port area winds down toward the coast through mature pine forest, offering glimpses of the turquoise waters of the bay en route: the main beach of Megali Ammos, with its crystal clear sea and utter tranquility, is just a few minutes walk from the villa. Views from the villa are stunning – down to the bay and across the sea straight into Skopelos Town in the distance, where the twinkling lights look enchanting at night. Light pollution in this area of the island is virtually nil, so the stars looks close enough to touch and the sunset is glorious.

Steps up from the car-parking area lead directly onto the plaka'd pool terrace with its brick-built barbecue and beautiful pool, tiled with dark blue mosaic tiles which make it look so inviting. A basement, accessed from the pool terrace, houses the washing machine. The main door to the house opens into a vestibule with the open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen (with full-sized electric cooker, dishwasher and 2 fridge/freezers) to the left. The comfortable lounge has a traditional open-beamed ceiling, marble flooring and a wood burning stove (functional, but also another traditional feature of the room). The patio doors open out onto the pool terrace. To the right of the vestibule is a double bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom (with shower) and patio doors opening onto the pool terrace.

From the lounge, a door opens onto a small hallway. Straight ahead, another door leads into a twin-bedded room with en-suite bathroom (with shower) and this room opens onto a charming courtyard, planted with herbs and lavender. To the left of the door from the lounge a staircase leads up to a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (with shower). This bedroom has patio doors which lead onto a large, pergola-covered terrace with a large dining table (also accessed via steps from the pool terrace), which is just the perfect area for an evening meal while watching the stars. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.

STANDARD SERVICES INCLUDED 
On arrival on Alonissos a team member will greet you, welcoming you to our beautiful island and provide assistance at the port with your luggage. They will escort you to your villa and go through with you the facilities and amenities of the villa.

We will provide you with our 'welcome pack' consisting of a bottle of wine, 6 large bottles of mineral water, seasonal fruits, fruit juice, coffee pods, tea, sugar, milk, biscuits and nuts.

In each of our villas we provide for you a map of Alonissos together with a folder containing useful local information.

A maid will clean your villa , wash up, change all the linen and make the beds and provide you with clean replacement towels twice weekly. Removal of rubbish and recycling. 
A team member if needed can visit your villa at a mutually convenient time to go through your personal needs.

Our office is open 7 days a week for information and assistance.

Fruit and vegetables within the gardens are there to be enjoyed by our guest. 
Pets are allowed with the consent of our Company.

Booking Terms 
A deposit of 30% of the total rental value is required for the confirmation of a reservation. 
The remaining balance of 70% of the total rental value must be received no later 56 days before arrival date of the booking. 
If the booking is within 8 weeks (56 days) before the guests’ arrival, the full payment of the booking is required and no amount is refundable in case of cancellation.

Cultural events On 15th August the festival of the Panaghia is marked with a traditional wedding and the island wedding beakfast of goat and spaghetti in a red sauce. In late May there is the Alonnisos Challenge, a festival of walking and running events which attracts many visitors from all over Greece and beyond.In Early July the 4th traditional dance festival will take place with dance groups from all over Greece coming to participate in this amazing cultural gathering of traditional dances and costumes with passion and pride , an event not to be missed
Traditional Food Alonnisos is famous for its cheese pies, much better than those produced on our neighbouring island of Skopelos. Prepared locally, Alonnisos bottled tuna is now available throughout the country and makes the most wonderful salads.
